During the episode, something's wrong with McQueen's feet, but neither she nor we know what. The sky turns greyer and starts pouring as she tries to run, breaking down in tears when she realizes she can't anymore. But Teio is there, promising a miracle. The music, the pace, the animation and the feeling in this episode are perfect.

I LOVE UMAMUSUME! Bro this gave me chills man, we’re so engrossed with the fact that she’ll not win to the point where it’s convincing. She actually made a miracle! Such feels. The concert was great, good last minute cameo, great ending with their last race. Need more of both of them! 8.6/10

Just like how she was there for Teio, Teio was there for her as well. Their rivalry together, even with the setbacks of injuries, basically boosts their relationship. Seeing her break down tore me apart. The switch of the vocals on the ED was a lovely touch. 8.2/10

Agnes Digital is frothing in the mouth watching this, it’s too Yuri and I’m loving it! I can understand friendly rivalry, but this is taken way out of proportion, and I’m all in on it baby! I think they forgot to add the romance tag on this episode lol. 8.4/10

Not a lot of action this episode, but that’s what important as we get to see raw emotions which we rarely see throughout the season. I knew she’d make a comeback, I didn’t expect it to be this emotional tho. This might be the first time I get to see her with an angry expression as well, just shows how important the decision is. 8/10

Man, I didn't expect an anime about horse girl racing to be this sad. Like, it's her third time, bro; she must've felt devastated. It's also the only thing she wants to do, so for it to be snatched away is truly soul crushing, Peak Drama. I can see why the ship is strong. 8.5/10

I feel conflicted, I'm a fan of both. I'm both happy and sad about the win. I'm mostly angry at the fans; it's so unfair of them for their treatment. I'm happy that she's not down in the dumps after the loss and is still motivated for her rival. 7.8/10

Good episode, the back and forth between drama and comedy kept me going. Seeing as how Rice finally manages to get up back on her feet really makes me happy considering what’s she’s been through. 7.8/10

Loving the character development, although not really all that relatable, you can still feel and relate to that frustrating feeling in a competition. It's nice to see that she found a new goal to move on to, but my gut's saying this isn't the last emotional scene. 7.7/10

Was not expecting the final part of the race. I thought it would end up as a draw. What bothers me is the fact that they're both doing different styles of training per usual, and yet only one ended up benefiting from it. Was getting hyped for the race, so I had fun still. 7.8/10

I really like the setup for this season. The animation is definitely better than the previous one and, to be honest, I'm liking Tokai Teio as the lead more than Special Week. Teio has a more charming personality in my opinion.

A fun episode. The introduction to new characters didn’t feel out of place. The training montages were also pretty interesting to look at, especially considering how high the stakes are for the race. 7.8/10

Love the rivalry development between those 2. Got me suspense with all this build up I thought she would lose in the end. 7.8/10

Loving the intros and outros. Nothin bad from this episode, the only complaint I can give is that it may have felt a bit too fast, wdym we watch her practice for 4 months? It doesn't feel like 4 months have passed. I'm sure this won't be the last heartbreaking accident. 7.8/10

The animation improvement really stood out the most. A lot more movement and fluidity. As a first episode, they played it well, introducing a bit of the backstory, what her daily life looks like, her, dreams and goals, all jam packed to make us connect with her. 7.8/10

I haven’t cried because of an anime in a long time. This isn’t a sad story, but a very heartwarming one. Such a great anime. I love Tokai Teio.

Heartwarming and unexpected resolution to the series. Loved how they developed the characters throughout and the emotional roller coaster we are put through
