I feel heartbroken and sad when the Sae had to sacrifice herself to the Ame-no-mihashira, to return as the branch once again. It was so sad to see the final moments of the episode especially the dialogues and memories flashing.

Episode Context

Coming off Episode 29's focus on the disappearance of an exorcist master, Episode 30 pivots to deepen the personal stakes by exploring Rokuro and Sae's bond, a necessary emotional foundation before the series pushes into its back half. This installment bridges the mystery-driven tension of the previous episode with the relationship-focused narrative of Episode 31, 'Because I'm With You,' signaling that the show is investing heavily in character dynamics as it approaches its final twenty episodes.
