Episode Context

Coming off Episode 28's focus on Unomiya Tenma's transcendence, Episode 29 pivots from power escalation to character archaeology, digging into Sae's backstory and the mystery surrounding a missing exorcist master. It sits at a critical midpoint transition in the back half of the series, building emotional groundwork that feeds directly into Episode 30, 'Forever Smiling: Lovely Smile Forever,' which promises significant emotional payoff from the threads laid here.
