EPISODE REVIEWS

Episode Context

Sitting at the exact midpoint of Season 2's 25-episode run, this episode deliberately downshifts after the high-intensity monster assault of Episode 12, letting the cast breathe while repositioning the narrative. Makoto's encounter with Shinai and the rumors surrounding his shop introduce new threads of social and political tension that will likely escalate in the back half of the season. It functions as a transitional chapter, closing the book on the immediate crisis while opening doors to conflicts rooted in reputation, commerce, and trust.
