What it manages to deliver though, is a visually impressive homage that does things differently to set itself apart from the other two versions of this story. VerifiedThe finale coming in hot! For as much as there are nods/tributes to TriMax that feel homely in here, it did lack the necessary context for it to feel 100% appropriate. Even as an adaptation, it feels weak at best and a horrible take at worst. I still appreciate it for the wonderful fight scenes, the emotional depth especially between Vash and Knives, as well as the music elevating said key scenes all the way to the end.
