I really liked this episode. The intense fight and hectic scenes were shown really well. The fact that I actually gasped at Coco's scene is proof that it had me on the edge of my seat, lol. That was really good!

What a badass episode. Though, honestly, Coco had the spotlight here more than Toriko. The MC's too laid-back for his own good. I can't wait to see him at full power, though. Loved this episode! It was pretty intense and thrilling.

Does Komatsu have the same voice as Shinpachi, or do they just have the same personality? Lmao. I kinda see their similarities. This episode was really good. Definitely a better fight than the previous ones, but Coco stood out the most here. He's just so fineeee!

This episode explains that society is basically built around food obsession and everyone just accepts that this is completely normal. Honestly kind of impressive.

What a tough beast! I love how Toriko treats Komatsu like a man and trusts him despite the danger. Coco really puts on a show this episode. And lol, Toriko’s hand is seriously out of this world. Classic slow power-up. But the big question is—will Komatsu really be safe?

EPISODE CONTEXT

This episode continues the Puffer Whale capture mission that kicked off when Toriko and Komatsu recruited the enigmatic Coco in Episode 4, pushing the group deeper into increasingly dangerous territory. It represents an early milestone for the series, establishing the pattern of escalating combat encounters tied to gourmet ingredient hunts that will define much of the show's 147-episode run. The cave arc continues directly into Episode 6, meaning this chapter functions as a critical mid-arc action beat rather than a standalone outing.
