This episode was just building up for the main exposition and conclusion later on. The joining of the CCG and ghouls is still shocking nevertheless, but I should've seen it coming.

So many character reappearances and callbacks. It feels like the story is finally coming full circle. I feel like we haven't seen proper scenes with Hide or Kimi in a long time. Their return within the story feels like a meaningful and fitting narrative choice.
