Having Rize actually appear at the finale was crazy work. The entire story focused on her as its central presence within Kaneki's journey, so having it end with her felt amazing!!

Kaneki's final speech to Nimura was awesome. After everything he's been through, season 1 and the beginning of his journey feels like such a far cry. Across all his identities, failures and journey as a whole, it's great that he remained so caring and maintained his attitude to the otherwise cruel world despite everything.
