Though Fushi is very powerful, there's a long way for him to go. Without Gugu's newly-found technique, he was a goner. This is a quiet episode reflecting peaceful days with a new family. The real highlight comes at the end, 4 years later, revealing the growth of Fushi and Gugu.

It's amazing how Gugu found a way to use the alcohol stored inside his stomach to help Fushi deal with the monster. I love how he grew up to be more confident in himself. It's nice to know how Rean's family isn't as horrible as other nobles would be.

Episode Context

Episode 10 marks the exact halfway point of the season and serves as a critical bridge within the Takunaha Arc, building directly on the relationship groundwork laid in 'Deep Memories' (Episode 9) where Fushi and Gugu's bond was further explored. This installment intensifies their shared journey by introducing new challenges that solidify their connection, while setting the stage for 'Gift From the Past' and the revelations that follow in the season's back half.
