To LOVE-Ru: Multiplication - Mae kara Ushiro kara
Oshimeter
Synopsis
When a gadget-building alien princess brings a robotic cloning cat to school one day, trouble follows naturally. Rito Yuuki accidentally touches it, and suddenly there are two of him. Then four. Then the hallways of Sainan High are just wall-to-wall Ritos. That's the entire premise of this one-episode OVA, and it commits to the chaos completely. The only fix is catching the robotic cat by its tail, which sounds simple until you watch a mechanical feline outmaneuver an entire army of identical clumsy teenagers. It leans hard into the kind of absurd, over-the-top comedy the To LOVE-Ru franchise is known for, with the sci-fi gimmick giving it a fresh spin on the usual harem hijinks. The ecchi elements are present, as expected from this series, so that's worth knowing going in. If you've already watched Rosario + Vampire or High School DxD and want something lighter in tone with less plot weight, this scratches that itch without any commitment. It's a single episode from 2017 by Xebec, adapted from the manga, so there's no buildup required — you can drop in, watch the school descend into clone-related madness, and be done. It's the kind of thing you put on when you want something genuinely silly and low-stakes. Nothing profound here, just a dumb fun premise executed with enough energy to make it worthwhile.
