Twist and turns, huzzahh. Something this story needs as we continue to develop the overarching mystery. There's more focus on the time travel aspect than the educational aspect. Not that they're absent, but they've taken a bit of a backseat in comparison to last few episodes.
I think this is the first time I've seen a character struggle learning to read Japanese but it must be somewhat realistic for Japanese middle schoolers learning more complex Kanji. I think Morse might've been the easiest one they've helped so far. We finally know that instead of changing the course of history they cover up for any missing parts in order to make sure it happens the way it has to, which is kinda cool but I wonder how Eiji knows where and when to go without the book.
I liked this episode. I think it focused more on the time travel plot than the educational aspect. Not that the educational part isn't important, but I think they should do justice to the anime's title as well. There were some major revelations too that made me go, "WHATTT?" That's the essence of the time travel plot for me, the twists and turns of the story.
