I'm probably gonna be too harsh on this but Jō is kind of right in this episode, Eiji's kind of a hypocrite if we take everything into consideration. The pacing defininitely got better for this episode now that everything's coming together, even then the animation is still pretty average.
This episode brings together many elements that have been set up in previous episodes leading up to this point. The mystery gains momentum without sacrificing the series' educational aspect. The pacing is still solid despite, again, the exposition dump it often falls into.
What an intense episode, but at the same time, it was super funny. Haha. Mari's and Dr. Hayase's reactions were top-notch, and Mikage was pretty funny too. He definitely adds some lightheartedness to the story. Thomas Edison was funny as well. I'm not sure how accurate it is to what really happened in history, but their reactions were cute. Another cliffhanger at the end, the animation of the creature at the end was quite intimidating.
