The finale focused more on emotions. I like the short and clean reaction of Mai at the very end.

Episode Context

As the twelfth and final episode, this follows directly from Episode 11's pivotal relationship crossroads in 'Is There No Way We Can Stay Like This?' and serves as the emotional payoff for the entire season's slow-burning character dynamics between Renako, Ajisai, and Mai. The finale provides closure to the season's core arcs while deliberately planting seeds for the announced TV Special continuation, making it both a landing point and a launchpad.
