Episode Context

As the first of five TV special episodes, this premiere carries the full weight of world-building, character introductions, and tonal establishment. It lays the groundwork for Renako's evolving relationship with Mai and the broader social dynamics that will drive the comedy forward. With only five episodes total, expect this setup to pay off quickly as subsequent installments ramp up the interpersonal stakes.
