Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Nai jan, Muri Muri! (※Muri ja Nakatta!?) (TV Special)
📖 SYNOPSIS
During her middle school years, Renako Amaori was the quiet, invisible girl nobody noticed. So when high school rolls around, she does a full reset — new look, new confidence, new social circle. And it actually works. She lands in the popular group and things are going great, right up until two of the most popular girls in school confess to her at the same time. Mai Ouzuka is the cool, princely type everyone admires from a distance. Ajisai Sena is the sweet, angelic one the whole campus adores. And somehow they're both into Renako, who is still quietly convinced she's the same awkward mess she was a year ago. This TV special covers episodes 13-17, continuing the story from studio MOTHER's adaptation of the light novel. The comedy hits because Renako's internal panic is so genuine — she's not some confident protagonist juggling admirers, she's a girl who genuinely doesn't understand why anyone would like her. That gap between how others see her and how she sees herself drives both the humor and the surprisingly earnest moments about self-worth. The girls love angle is handled with real warmth rather than played for shock. If you liked the reverse-harem energy of Kiss Him, Not Me or the fake-relationship tension of More Than a Married Couple, But Not Lovers, this scratches a similar itch but with an all-girl love triangle. It's five episodes, breezy and sweet, with just enough emotional weight to stick with you.
