Ir a comprar a una tienda grande ya es estresante, imagina que el ascensor te lleve a pisos inesperados. Desde ahora, prefiero las escaleras...

The really got me on this one! At first, i got the vibes of that horror movie called "Devil", the one about those people locked down on the elevator, but it managed it`s own way to make a dark experience in just a couple minutes

Episode Context

Yami Shibai delivers one of its most claustrophobic entries yet. 'The Next Floor' takes a universally familiar setting, an elevator, and twists it into a slow-burning descent into psychological dread. The episode centers on Nobuaki, a man whose desire for solitude after a tense family moment leads him into an increasingly impossible situation. Expect tight, suffocating atmosphere driven by dim lighting, unnerving sound design, and the series' signature kamishibai-style animation pushing into deeply unsettling territory. The pacing is deliberately restrained, letting each floor tick by with mounting anxiety rather than relying on jump scares. Themes of isolation, alienation, and the consequences of withdrawing from those closest to you simmer beneath the surface horror. At roughly four minutes, it's a compact gut-punch that lingers well after the elevator doors close.
