Synopsis

When their parents pass away, four brothers have to figure out how to be a family on their own. That's the setup for Yuzuki-san Chi no Yonkyoudai, and it's quieter and more grounded than you'd expect. Hayato, the eldest, works as a teacher while essentially raising his three younger siblings. Mikoto is the cool, composed second brother who turns into a complete softie around Minato, the clumsy and earnest third son. And then there's Gakuto, a first-grader who speaks and carries himself like a tiny philosopher, which somehow never stops being endearing. The show lives in the small moments — packing lunches, walking to school, figuring out how to talk about feelings when you're not great at it. There's genuine emotional weight underneath the everyday stuff, but it never feels manipulative or heavy-handed. Studio Shuka keeps the animation warm and expressive, letting the little details in body language and expression do a lot of the heavy lifting. If you liked the found-family warmth of Barakamon or the gentle emotional core of Usagi Drop, this hits a similar spot. It also shares some DNA with March Comes in Like a Lion in how it treats grief as something you carry quietly while still trying to live a normal life. Twelve episodes, shoujo manga source, and the kind of wholesome that actually earns the label instead of just slapping it on.

This episode felt relatable irl. The way the relationship between Mikoto and Minato is really bring emotionally with their each other struggles. Also that were presented naturally and make their brothers bond felt slightly heavier. It feels realistic here and beautiful.

The first episode is beautiful and heartwarming. They introduced the family member and about their problem imn a good way. The bond between all the brothers were shown naturally like irl (it's kinda relate to me). The animation is pretty smooth, gorgeous, felt so adorable and comforting.
