Serafina awakens in a cold cell, disoriented. Iron shackles bind her wrists and ankles, a collar chokes her neck. She strains against them, the metal rattling a loud, empty protest. The harsh reality dawns on her: she is a captive of the very "barbarians" she swore to conquer.

The scene shifts, a vivid flashback to the 17th Eastern Expedition. Serafina, a knight in silver armor, leads the Holy Knights against a barbarian horde. She fights with fierce skill, her sword and shield a blur of motion. But even her prowess cannot stem the tide; the barbarian numbers are overwhelming.

A hulking figure, Vehor, strides onto the battlefield, challenging Serafina. Their duel is brutal; his raw power shatters her magic-infused sword. He pins her to the ground, declaring he has "good use" for her body. The words hang in the air, a chilling promise.

Back in the cell, Serafina trembles. What "use" could a barbarian have for her? Her imagination conjures horrors: forced labor, public shame, slavery. Her pride as a noble knight makes her helplessness an even greater terror. She feels her life, and her purpose, have ended.

The heavy cell door creaks open. Not an interrogator, but a young girl, Tetsui, enters, carrying a bucket. Serafina braces for torture, shouting defiant words. Instead, Tetsui calmly strips her tattered clothes and begins to wash the dirt and blood from her body. The simple act is profoundly disorienting.

Tetsui produces an elegant, dark blue silk gown, dressing the bewildered Serafina. The knight is stunned by the garment's quality, the girl's lack of malice. Tetsui offers no explanations, only stating she must make the "trophy" presentable. Heavy footsteps approach, echoing in the hall.

Vehor himself enters, his helmet now gone. He appears surprisingly human, though still immense. Serafina attempts to regain her dignity, demanding ransom. He ignores her, studying her in the gown with an approving grunt. He introduces himself: Vehor, Grand Chieftain of the Urutine tribe, towering over her.

Vehor leans in close, delivering his shocking declaration: Serafina will be his bride. Her face flushes with fury and disbelief; she screams, calling him insane. He explains this is tradition for chieftains: to marry the strongest woman defeated in battle. Her "straightness" and purity of swordplay, he claims, impressed him.

A new flashback takes us to Serafina's past as the sister of Margrave Sidius de Ravillant. He appoints her to command the First Knight Order, a duty she seems to bear more than choose. At a noble ball, she feels utterly out of place. Whispers reach her ears: she is "a man in a woman's body," unfit for marriage.

Serafina later slips away to a balcony, looking East. She thinks of the kingdom's famine, the suffering commoners. She believes the Eastern Expansion is their only hope. Her knightly vows, it becomes clear, stem from a genuine desire to save her people. We then see her encounter starving commoners; instead of arresting them, she gives them her jeweled necklace, telling them to buy food for their children. She renews her oath to bring prosperity.

Back in the present, Serafina awakens in a soft bed in a wooden cabin. For a moment, she believes her capture was a nightmare. Then, she hears loud snoring. Turning, she sees Vehor's massive, muscular, naked torso beside her. She is under the covers with him. A high-pitched scream escapes her as she stares at the barbarian chieftain in her bed.

As the credits roll, a montage shows Serafina's initial days in the barbarian village. She walks a scenic beach, her expression conflicted. She meets the demi-human residents, attends a joyous banquet around a bonfire. The final shot sees her among the barbarians, no longer purely terrified, but still stunned by her strange new reality.
