This is another stand-alone story, which may have given a good feeling IF it belonged to another anime. But knowing what anime this actually is, it feels like a mismatch. I can’t connect Geweer as a weapon to the story being presented, and I don’t think other viewers would even bother researching the history of the weapon itself.
Again, not a great but not a bad episode. The anime seems to have taken on a side quest with all these side stories that don't really drive the main plotline. It's showing us multiple side characters that aren't related to the main four characters first introduced. As someone who hasn't played the original IP, the adding of different characters that don't seem to have much purpose kind of lowers my enjoyment with the anime. Even if the general premise was interesting, my initial interest is waning now.
The pacing is so slow, too many unwanted scenes. This episode cuts what supposed to be an important event for the episode, instead it focuses on something the audience never asked for.
