For me, using historical figures create risk of discrepancy and can affect our expectations, especially to those who knows about world history well. I think they should be careful too in portraying war to younger audience. They might think that wars were, and will be, colorful and full of handsome men.
This is honestly a gun lover's wet dream of an anime. There are some heartwarming moments, and I guess the general camaraderie is great. It's not a bad anime. It just that you can't look at it seriously. If you look at it seriously, it's not going to be great. But if you look at it from like a different perspective, you can enjoy the anime and not worry about the difficult stuff. From what I, the original IP is from a game. So that makes more sense of why the certain things are the way they are.
I'm trying to like this anime, i really do. The gunfight at the end of this episode could have been epic. But it was poorly directed, there are lots of flop scenes. Nothing captures my interest at all.
