Episode 12 is a solid season finale. It resolves the Cephiro rescue, delivers the confrontation with the Allied Kings, and gives Ike and Satie a satisfying emotional payoff. The animation is still weak, and the action sequences don't live up to their potential, but the writing and character work carry the episode. If the show gets a second season, it's set up a world with plenty of room to grow. If not, it's a decent ending to a flawed but ultimately worthwhile series.
