I am a fan of this anime. Really enjoyed the 1st season. But as I start season 2, episode 1 had me thinking. Only 13 episodes? The pacing was too fast it almost felt like a speedrun. Not even a short recall of the first season for people who forgot since it's been a long time.

The show speedruns into a new crisis and expects you to care instantly. The other heroes dipping isn’t just funny, it actually underlines how isolated Naofumi still is. Wrath shield tease is juicy but everything else feels like setup on 2x speed.

It is a great way to kickstart season 2! The fights did not exaggerate and were well paced. Rishia is giving a very promising character development.
