I thought this was a bit of a filler episode giving us a glimpse into Togo’s past, and given the story is nearing it’s conclusion it might not have been needed but I think is helpful given the scenario that Togo finds himself in. Hopefully the remaining episodes settle the plot well.

The backstory in this episode is uncalled-for, this is not the time for that specific story. I find it sloppy for the writers to squeeze that in, especially that the story is progressing.

This episode dives deeper into Togo's backstory and is the best episode so far. It embraces plenty of classic tokusatsu tropes while remaining genre savvy, making the whole episode both fun and entertaining. The biggest highlight is the number of tokusatsu cameos throughout the episode, along with the surprise appearance of Aquarion. Overall, it was a fantastic episode.
