Solid episode with a lot more action. The pacing of this anime is a bit slow at times but the animation and characters evens it out a bit. Hopefully the pacing can pick up more and more in the coming episodes.

Idk, it's not bad but i don't find it appealing for me. I don't find the episode awful, but it's not to my liking.

In this episode, we finally get to see the villains. They're fairly typical as far as villains go, but the bond between them serves as a nice contrast to Togo and his ideals. The scene where Togo punches the Jester was especially satisfying. We also get some more lore about the Hero, which, while not particularly surprising, was still a welcome addition. Overall, it was a good episode.

Episode Context

Episode 5 marks a tonal shift for Red Ranger Isekai, pushing the series into darker territory right at the midseason threshold. The Sentai-fantasy mashup trades some of its lighthearted comedy for genuine tension as Tōgo, Yihdra, and Lowji come face-to-face with threats directly tied to demonic royalty. Expect sustained action sequences that carry more weight than earlier episodes, with the stakes feeling meaningfully higher. The team dynamic built over the first four episodes gets stress-tested here, and the episode uses that pressure to pull out solid character moments between the combat. The pacing is tighter and more suspenseful, leaning into its fantasy-adventure side without completely abandoning the tokusatsu absurdity that defines the premise. A pivotal entry that signals the series is ready to get serious about its central conflict.
