The Ramparts of Ice Episode 1: Lines and Walls

Beginning is good. World-building and character introductions seem nice.

While I really like the story and plot so far, I find the pacing quite slow because I’ve received very limited information about the characters. The introduction of both major and minor characters also feels somewhat forced—not in terms of the plot, but because I find them overly social and pushy. Craftsmanship-wise, I totally love it. The direction was great, and the visuals were super clean. The art was also pretty nice, though it’s not exactly my type.

This is a great opening episode. Koyuki's tendency to be anxious and cold toward others, while remaining warm with her close friends, is one of the things that makes this anime so compelling. Look forward to her interactions with the other characters.

Koyuki overthinking every single interaction is painfully relatable. The contrast between her and Minato's energy is immediately compelling. Yota showing up and just being genuinely kind without an agenda is such a breath of fresh air. Really solid character intro episode.
