Hiyakawa is so possessive of Mikado, and it makes me curious about his real purpose for getting close to him. What makes me even more curious is what Erika wanted to tell Mikado. Both Hiyakawa and Erika are very mysterious. This episode had a creepy vibe. It was okay, but it didn’t really capture my attention that much.

In this episode I absolutely loved seeing Hanzawa face his skepticism when dealing with the curse at the high school. Mikado and Hiyakawa working together under that intense pressure gave me chills

Episode Context

The supernatural horror edge sharpens considerably in this third outing. Mikado and Hiyakawa's dynamic is tested against a genuinely unsettling case involving a haunted residence, recurring death-laden visions, and secrets buried beneath still water. The pacing is deliberately slow, prioritizing creeping dread over jump scares, letting the eerie atmosphere do the heavy lifting. A significant new player enters the picture, a self-proclaimed curse peddler and necromancer, who immediately complicates the power dynamics and raises questions about who can actually be trusted in this world. The BL undertones between the leads continue to simmer beneath the investigative framework, but this episode leans harder into its horror and mystery credentials than its predecessors. Expect tension that builds methodically, unsettling imagery, and a narrative that's clearly widening its scope beyond case-of-the-week territory.
