The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya Season 2
Oshimeter
Synopsis
Kyon has found himself dragged through many adventures as of late—all because of the SOS Brigade club and its excitable leader, Haruhi Suzumiya. He has stopped believing in the supernatural long ago, but after being forced to join this club based solely on that, he has seen things that cannot be explained logically. Joining Kyon on his various misadventures is the shy and soft-spoken Mikuru Asahina, the bookish Yuki Nagato, and the ever-cheerful Itsuki Koizumi. Whether it is summer vacation or a school festival, things involving their club and Haruhi herself always end up becoming strange.

I have marked it high, since it is very well written. However, if I include Endless Eight the rating will drop considerably. In the end it’s how you watch it whether you want to watch it the way the anime debuted or chronological order is up to you. Be warned if you watch it chronologically you’ll have to include and suffer through the slog known as Endless Eight be ye warned! If you follow the order I did you will be spared from such a fate! I highly recommend this classic, yes it’s considered a classic now, wouldn’t be surprised to find on RetroCrush!
Kinda thought-provoking episode. Sure the others are kinda scared about what will become of the world if they oppose Haruhi but idk is it really worth it to endure this?
What I love here is that our 3 group members have their own thoughts about approaching Haruhi and about each other. That's kind of the best part in this ep imo. Everything else, meh.
I feel like tbh we didn't get much character development from Haruhi. It's kind of more from Kyon. And Koizumi just feels more sus now than ever. I don't understand anything lmao but ain't that the whole point of this anime?
Another rollercoaster of an episode. Idk the payoff felt underwhelming as it's the last episode. Something's missing but I can't say what exactly
Unexpected deeper writing here. And I didn't expect bro to erupt here. But tbh that took him long enough. Someone needs to control this girl 😵💫
Yup I definitely side with Kyon here. This director is getting crazier with each passing episode. Poor Mikuru T^T
Nagato to the rescue but the repercussions are scary even if it wasn't as grave. But literally one slip and who knows how this is gonna snowball. Things are getting intense again!
That sudden"action" fluke was definitely a highlight. Can't wait to see how the group handles this situation lmao
Now that's a plot twist. Who would have thought that something like this would happen in this episode? But then again, it's a Haruhi anime T^T
Could be just me but I really feel Koizumi is starting to be more sus. Can't put my finger on it tho
I don't know how the others have the patience of a saint for Haruhi, her demands are outrageous. But ig she's embodying her director-persona?
Haruhi is being as pushy as usual, idk but I'm starting to get weird vibes tho from her 😬 I know Mikuru has always been her target but I still feel bad for her
I missed when the episodes feel like this. Kinda nostalgic but also wholesome in a way? Cool narrative too to keep things interesting
And as always Mikuru is so uwu adorable :') the comedic moments here feel like a huge step up from the last eps
Ahhhhh better than the rest finally 😭 all's well that ends well ig, with all antics included
I was expecting something big at the end but it didn't really do much for me hmmmm meh kinda doesn't make sense but ain't that the whole point of this anime T^T
Interesting payoff. Kinda underwhelming tho considering how much this dragged on too
Now that I think about it, Haruhi has been really acting "godly" ever since. Delusional people are hard to understand if you ain't like that yourself
Now that I think about it, Koizumi is sus sometimes... there's something about him that gives... Diablo vibes from tensura
