This was actually such a satisfying finale. It feels like a big emotional payoff with a side of humor. It was a nice balance between the tense ritual sequence with a light comedic sublot. I also noticed that the festival scenes have more polished animation. I also appreciate how the story's themes about duty and connection come together in this one episode. The musical arrangement was also perfect, the timing onto the climax made me feel the scale of this one final episode.

This such a fun mystery episode. The mystery plot here and the festival preparation was actually done really well. I love that the investigation scenes utilizes playful gags to fill the light, comedic tone of the mystery plot. The music was also really thought out, it was a slightly playful, and a detective themed music that adds more fun onto those investigation scenes.

This feels like more of a recap style episode ngl. It does add some perspective to each character. The pacing feels a bit scattered though, with all that jumping between the three different pair of characters. The animation also felt like it fell of a bit and the writing here leans more on observation and contrast.

This was such a heartwarming and tearjerking episode. The problems rather escalated quickly here, from a small problem onto something more personal for Koito, but I really love that they handled this gently rather than with drama. I also loved that the episode takes its time to move and really let my emotions marinate. The way an everyday chore turned into a deep personal moment was actually one of the best writing that I have ever seen.

The introduction of new casts here was such a breathe of fresh air. This was a solid expansion of the world without the story losing focus on the main duo. I like that this was a well balanced episode with the new characters and the established cast. The new characters' designs were also contrasting to the cast, which makes the characters memorable and easy to distinguish from each other.

I love this light, relaxing episode. This was much more focused on community and tradition and I genuinely appreciate them expanding the world. This episode moves at a relaxed pace that suits its slice of life tone. The setting has such nice background detail that gives the a town a lively personality. I genuinely like the tone of this episode, it focused more on warmth and humor. The light and cheerful background music was also the perfect music choice for this slice of life episode.

I love that they explore the fear of change for both sides of Koito and Elda's relationship. This builds up to a ritual scene and that fear of change made the scene mean much more. This episode felt very grounded as it balances Koito's school stress with Elda's worries, it really gives both characters equal room to develop. The facial animations here were also fantastic in portraying what the characters are feeling without saying anything. The music is also fantastic, it adds weight onto scenes especially the ritual scene without being too dramatic.

I like that this episode was a mix of our modern conveniences with some old tradition. This episode was smooth with the shift from a light modern day comedy onto a bit more sentimental closing scene. I appreciate the details done onto the costume and clothing here. I also liked how they portrayed Koito's insecurity here. This was such a heartwarming episode.

This was such a fun episode about some elf rivalry and pride. I can really see that most animes depict elves as a prideful race lol. I do appreciate the pacing here, the buildup to the rivalry was noticeable and I like how they handled the aftermath calmly. It was also so funny seeing those exaggerated expressions during the rivalry scenes. Their dialogue was also so fun, the two elves are really full of personality.

I love that this episode was a meaningful personal milestone for Koito with a side a fun joke about shrine traditions. I also loved that they expanded the cast, this will surely open a lot of new possibilities. I like how the scenes are spaced out well so that they don't contradict or overlap each other. I also love how the shrine ritual scenes are staged with some nice attention to detail.

This was such a light episode, I liked the comedy scenes in this one. This was genuinely a fun episode after the previous one. The pacing is also enjoyable as it transitions from each scenes. The setting here is colorful and wonderfully detailed, which gives off such a lively feeling. I also really like the comedic timing, they really know how to time it right. Even though this was a comedic episode, I can still that warm bonding moments between the characters. The music also compliments the tone well with that upbeat, playful music.

The final episode is fast-paced, with unexpected action scenes, plenty of comedy, and a very interesting ending about luck and amulets. Entertaining and highly recommended, with notes on the Edo period, as in the other episodes.

A rather different episode with a detective-like opening, as a collectible figure has gone missing. Then we have a ritual requiring Elda's participation, which awakens old fears in both Elda and Koito. The pacing is balanced and canonical within the story, and there's plenty of comedy throughout the episode.

This episode has a very slow pace; we do a panel discussion about the lives of all the characters and their routines. It feels like a filler episode. If you like tranquility and peace, this episode is for you.

A slow-paced chapter, themed around the Japanese Edo period, but entertaining in a different way with plenty of specific details from the era, and an unexpected flashback of Elda. Canon within the story.

A very funny episode, with an unexpected visit from Kanazawa, well-paced, fun to watch, and full of comedy. New characters and canon within the story. Entertaining from beginning to end.
