Saku, I was wrong about you... YOU ARE AN INCREDIBLE HUMAN BEING! This episode gives us another look at how Yukichi was adopted, which just showed us how caring Saku really is. Seeing everything from Yukichi's perspective made it clear just how precious Saku is to him 🥹

Aww, Yume is so adorable. I mean who doesn't love her. Yukichi acts like a parent and it's so funny hehe, I am happy that Yukichi and Saku are expanding their circle of friends. I also love how Yukichi and Saku take care of each other.

Why is Yukichi becoming more and more adorable? This episode was very emotional, particularly when Yume and Yukichi opened up about her feelings. The plot is well structured and conveys the characters concerns effectively. Yukichi's quick wit in this episode was hilarious. I was also surprised by the unexpected character development. There’s something really cool that Saku’s brilliant at behind his usual attitude.

Episode Context

This episode shifts gears from the usual lighthearted slice-of-life formula by introducing a thread of genuine concern into Yukichi's daily routine. The giant housecat's protective instincts take center stage as worries about Saku's safety during late work hours create a more contemplative atmosphere than fans might expect from this comedy. That said, the series doesn't abandon its signature warmth, expect the usual endearing domestic moments and comedic beats woven between the more serious undertones. The pacing feels measured, giving scenes room to breathe rather than rushing through gags. It's a strong showcase of what makes the Saku-Yukichi dynamic work beyond just humor: there's real emotional weight to a cat who cares this much. A nice tonal pivot that proves the show has range without losing its identity.
