Definitely a slice of life. I enjoyed this anime mainly because its a different genre and a very laid back anime. Yukichi is a very interesting character and i can't wait to see more of him, in the upcoming episodes. Yukichi definitely cares for his human! The animation style is so cooll omgg especially the movements.

So much content in one episode 😭💗 For a slice-of-life anime, this sure was animated with so much love. The camera work and angles were way better than I expected, something you'd usually see in an action anime. The characters are also incredibly expressive and absolutely adorable. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something cozy and charming.

When I first started watching, I was blown away by the visuals, they were so clear and really brought the hectic atmosphere to life. I found it absolutely hilarious watching Yukichi’s painstaking efforts to fill his pockets! I could really relate to the story. The comedy was natural too, and explored themes of growing up. The plot moves along quite quickly, but the message comes across well.

Episode Context

A cozy, low-stakes premiere that exists purely to make you smile. The Masterful Cat Is Depressed Again Today opens by dropping you into the daily life of Saku Fukuzawa, a hardworking but hopeless-at-adulting office worker, and Yukichi, her oversized cat who somehow handles all the cooking, cleaning, and grocery shopping. The tone is warm and unhurried, think slice-of-life comfort food with a comedic twist baked into its absurd premise. GoHands delivers bright, polished visuals that lean into the visual gag of a giant cat doing mundane human tasks with total competence. There's no dramatic hook or conflict engine here; the entire appeal is the charming dynamic between a helpless human and her impossibly capable feline caretaker. If you need something gentle and funny, this delivers exactly that.
