That was intense! The adaptation and this anime were like twins. The lore was so heavy, it was unbelievable like it got me questioning how the heck did it go wrong. Kudos for giving the timeline a clear animation and unique effects, really giving peak animation.

Episode Context

Sitting at the exact halfway mark of Wanjie Pian's twelve-episode run, Episode 6 builds on the reconnections established in 'An Old Acquaintance' by drilling into the historical alliances that underpin every present-day conflict. This deep dive into the Venerated Triad's dynamics serves as essential groundwork, positioning the series to escalate toward the psychological and supernatural tensions teased by the upcoming 'Deviated Spirit.' It's a pivotal bridge episode, the calm, deliberate breath before the final season's back half shifts into higher gear.
