The visuals during the competition are beautiful! I enjoyed this episode the most because of the balance in action, mystery and surprise element. The ending was a little dark especially with the realization of the hidden dangers surrounding the competition.

What an exciting episode! The competition scenes are amazing, and the visual effects for the magic abilities are so crisp and fluid. On the other hand, those final moments are incredibly mysterious.

The chaos in the steeplechase is getting worse. Tatsuya's identification of the parasite dolls sabotaging the competition is brilliant. The danger is palpable as he protects the students from danger. The pacing and animation of these tactical moves are beautiful.

Episode Context

Sitting at the midpoint of Season 3's thirteen episodes, this is the third consecutive chapter in the Steeplechase arc and functions as the critical investigation phase, building directly on the disturbing revelations from Part II regarding the Kudou Family's covert operations. It deepens the conspiracy significantly while positioning all the major players for Part IV, where the fallout from Tatsuya's discoveries is expected to drive the arc toward its high-stakes confrontation.
