EPISODE REVIEWS

I didn't expect the ending to be like that! I was hoping to see something even more intense when they encounter Zhou but it was quite short? However the ending is such a cliffhanger. I can't wait for the next season to come!

What an incredibly tense yet exciting episode! The plot moves forward with some fantastic combat scenes that showcase our favorite side's skills; meanwhile, the secrets of the clans just never seem to end.

Episode Context

As episode 13 of 13 and the fifth consecutive installment of the Ancient City Insurrection arc, this is the definitive climax of both the arc and the season, following directly from Part IV where Tatsuya pinpointed the enemy's position. The episode resolves the central conflict that has dominated the back half of the season while deliberately leaving threads open, setting the stage for the Yotsuba Succession storyline that looms as the next major narrative chapter.
