The art direction, music, and the voice acting made the movie look and feel pretty. The animation alone could have a paragraph dedicated to it. The Rotoscoping and even the extra frames they added in for comedic effect was perfect! The driving force of the movie is a bit weak though, the very tension the movie was building up to was a complete farce. If they wanted conflict make one of the girls an antagonist they didn't commit to it, or better yet a rival idol group from a different company. Why, a rivalry from the same studio would be better thematically, an outside idol group would need a series to flesh each character out. Beautiful movie would recommend to others if they are into Jpop, and girl groups.
