Loved the start of the series, it's clear both characters are opposites but the interaction between them allows development, both learning from the strong points of the other. Also loves the pace, it set the mystery little by little
Constance sneaking around Scarlett's old house had me nervous. The lore drop about Scarlett's birth adds so much depth. Their dynamic is great—Scarlett dramatic and bossy, Connie flustered but standing her ground. Mystery keeps building.
The cooperation is forcefully set between them. Very distinct characters make you wonder how their dynamic will work. The story deepens through sophisticated schemes. Past and present intertwine through the perspectives of the two leads. The pieces start to fall into place.
