A powerful hook right from the start, very much a villainess-novel-style. Though expected, it never fails to deliver impact. A strong first episode that keeps you glued to the screen and establishes the connection between the main characters. Ending with an incredible table turn.

This is a concept twist I haven't seen before. I love how Scarlett helped Connie, she really put everyone in their places in the most satisfying way. The first episode really pulls you in. I can't wait to see where this series goes

Let me get this straight—I expected a witch + lost child story… yeah, totally wrong. Actually, It flips hard. The revenge angle hooked me fast. Scarlett’s an icon, Constance just surviving chaos. Drama + ghostly sass? I’m in. Honestly, worth a watch.

Instantly hooked! The characters being complete opposites working together, the plot of revenge, and the art! And Constance being the only one to see her after what she saw as a child, wondering how it connects. Can't wait to see how this builds up.

Constance getting framed at the party was painful to watch. The moment Scarlett's voice whispered and possessed her? Chills. The way she just turned the tables on her accuser had me cheering. Ghost girl might be mean but she's effective. Solid start.

Completely hooked! The dynamics of a duo I never expected LOL and the over-the-top antics is totally my cup of tea. I didn’t expect to love a show like this, but here we are.

Interesting concept. The timid and villainess duo is an intriguing combo. Although I hate the overly timid MC, she is supplemented by her duo. I believe this anime has a lot of potential. It is very well written and the pacing is also nice. I recommend this 8/10.

The story started with an intense emotion as Constance Grail (MC) witnessed a horrendous and unforgettable event, involving a pretty lady. Years later, Constance's difficult situation had almost completely ruined her, but an unexpected help came and reversed the fall in her favor

EPISODE CONTEXT

As the series premiere, 'At the Grand Merillian' functions entirely as world-building and character introduction, establishing the central pairing of Connie and Scarlet along with the show's core tensions between aristocratic facade and supernatural mystery. There are no prior episodes to build from — this is ground zero. It directly sets up Episode 2, 'An Extraordinary Villainess and an Ordinary Girl,' where the dynamic between the two leads begins to evolve into the partnership that drives the series forward.
