EPISODE CONTEXT
Sitting at the two-thirds mark of the season, Episode 8 functions as a palate cleanser after Episode 7 introduced some tension around Kuroto's interactions with another fox spirit. The beach setting widens the group dynamic and deepens the friendships that will matter heading into Episode 9, which pivots back to exploring the evolving emotional core between Kuroto and Senko more directly.
