While it can be a little off-putting because of Senko’s young appearance, it is at least acknowledged how strange Senko’s and Nakano’s interactions can appear in the show; hopefully, they continue this. It will be interesting to see what sort of plot this show has going forward.

Watching the first episode, the anime's plot feels so random, haha! It doesn't feel intriguing at all, but it's comforting, which I think is the goal—similar to what Senko is doing for the MC. Character designs are simple, but the details in the background and scenery look nice!

Episode Context

As the series opener of a 12-episode run, this episode exists entirely to build the foundation. Kuroto's exhaustion, Senko's warmth, and the supernatural contract between them that drives every episode forward. Nothing precedes it, but everything that follows depends on the emotional baseline established here. Expect subsequent episodes to expand the cast and deepen the comfort-driven dynamic, but this premiere sets the tone for the entire season.
