Episode 7 is a filler episode in every sense. Nothing important happens. The plot doesn't advance. The characters don't develop. The animation is the worst it's been. The masked man subplot is introduced and then abandoned. The tournament is set up but not actually started. The maid cafe is unnecessary fanservice . The duel is supposed to be the climax but looks like a slideshow. If you're still watching this show at Episode 7, you're either a completionist or you're hate-watching. There's nothing here that justifies the time investment.

I really think they could put a lot more effort in the battle scenes.. The maid cafe just feels like an unnecessary fanservice.

Episode Context

A palate cleanser right at the midpoint of the season. Episode 7 drops the heavier conflicts in favor of an academy festival setting, leaning hard into the show's comedic and slice-of-life side. Expect Ard and the crew, Ireena, Ginny, and the recently introduced Sylphy, bouncing between festival attractions like a maid café and a sword-fighting tournament. The energy is upbeat and playful, with character dynamics taking center stage over world-ending stakes. Friendly rivalries and comedic jealousy drive most of the entertainment here. The action that does show up is more competitive sport than life-or-death battle. If you've been watching for the harem comedy elements and character banter rather than the power fantasy, this episode delivers on that front. It's a deliberate cooldown before the back half of the season ramps up.
