The Great Cleric
Oshimeter
Synopsis
When every other isekai hero is busy picking swords, magic, or some broken cheat skill, but Luciel picks healer. Not exactly the flashiest class, but that's kind of the point. He's a former salaryman who dies right before getting a promotion, rough timing: and a deity gives him a second shot at life in a fantasy world called Galdardia. Rather than chasing glory, he joins the Healers' Guild in a town where healers are basically seen as greedy scammers who overcharge everyone. Luciel decides he's going to be the one healer who actually does right by people, which turns out to be harder than it sounds when the entire profession has a terrible reputation. This is a 12-episode TV series that leans heavily into the comedy side of things. The appeal here is watching a guy with a regular office worker's mentality try to grind his way through fantasy world problems: no cheat codes, no broken abilities out of the gate. He just has a strong work ethic and a stubborn sense of decency. The pacing is relaxed, more about Luciel figuring out guild politics and building trust than epic battles. If you liked the early world-building episodes of That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime or the slow-burn progression in Jobless Reincarnation, this hits a similar groove. It's lighter than The Rising of the Shield Hero but shares that "protagonist earns respect the hard way" energy. A solid pick if you want something low-stakes and easy to watch.

It was a great watch from start to finish. I enjoyed every episode, and I'm really hoping it gets a second season. The story stayed engaging throughout, the soundtrack was catchy, and the characters were well-written and memorable. Overall, it was such an enjoyable series to watch.
Seeing Luciel's old comrades from Merratoni visit him at the Church HQ was such a breath of fresh air. It was also heartwarming to see the people he had healed come back to acknowledge him. Knowing where he started, it's really rewarding to watch how far he's come and how many lives he's touched. And not to mention, his improvement in battle has been impressive too.
This episode was really funny, and we also learned something new about Substance X. However, I'm curious about the little comments they keep making about people dying. I wonder if they'll explain that on the next episodes..
Here comes another training session, but this time it was way beyond his level. Luciel was confident at first, but he ended up underestimating how difficult it would be. Still, seeing him get through it and receive genuine compliments was really satisfying.
Just as I expected from Luciel, he’s still the optimistic healer with funny side comments that make him so enjoyable to watch. His charm is incredible too that it even caught the attention of the women in the HQ.
Luciel has finally started his real adventure. I’m just glad someone is there to escort him because I can’t imagine how he would survive on his own, especially since he doesn’t have much experience dealing with monsters or zombies yet.
The pace is moving smoothly, which is one of the reasons why this is so enjoyable to watch. The little conversations and subtle comments are surprisingly funny. It’s definitely not a boring show, although it stays at a steady level without too many big adventures happening yet.
This episode was really funny in its own way. I love seeing the bonds Luciel has built with the guild. A year has passed, and seeing how much his dedication, hard work, and growth have paid off has been such a joy to watch.
How terrible must the other healers be that adventurers actually worry when they receive help from them? No wonder Luciel is gaining support from others since he’s slowly changing the way people see healers and bringing hope into this world.
I love how they created Luciel's character. Not only is he responsible and hardworking, but he’s also so optimistic and fair. He’s really not the kind of problematic main character you usually see.
I love how responsible Luciel is. He knows exactly what he needs to do to become a good healer. I hope he gets surrounded by good adventurers who can help him hone his capabilities and continue to grow.
Luciel was reincarnated looking way too handsome. The white hair is absolutely serving visuals, and he's so delightfully unserious that I already know I'm going to enjoy this show.
I really liked it. It is an isekai, yes, but it has its own unique elements that were really lovely and one-of-a-kind. I'm hoping for a new season because I'd love to know what's in store for Luciel!
Having certain people visit makes Luciel feel less lonely, which makes me very happy! Even though he's making new friends, you can tell he misses Brod and the others.
Haha, Luciel really has it tough with those nicknames. The more he hates them, the more people will use them. At least his good deeds are getting people talking.
Luciel is turning a lot of heads—it's both good and bad. I'm sure he'll keep growing, and I like seeing how he learns from everything. Let's keep going down this path.
The funny thing is that he thinks everything so far has been just a game. He isn't even aware of his own growing power. We'll see just how far he goes.
This is where the new life begins... There may be a new life, but he'll never forget Substance X, haha. I hope there's something hidden in that drink.
Something good and even bigger is definitely on the horizon for Luciel—even if it means saying a few goodbyes, no one leaves forever. We'll see what happens next.
Luciel's maturity has really shown over the past year. He's on his way to reaching his full potential as a healer. There's still a lot to come.
