The tension between the Mu domain and Liu domain reached a whole new level in this episode. Mu Chen, Luo Li, and Mu Feng standing firm under pressure kept the pacing super engaging throughout the whole episode.

It feels more like a prelude to the tournament to gain entry to the five academies, showing the training of each of the main characters (with Mu Chen, of course, taking centre stage), so it can be seen as filler or an episode of little significance.
