Well, that sure took a turn… The anime is usually pretty predictable, but this time the enemy acted so swiftly that the sudden intensity was still surprising. The action scenes were solid too. With a few episodes left, I wonder how our Asuka will act. I’m excited to see everyone in action!
Fortunately, this episode delivers the pivotal buildup and momentum that I have hoped for in this narrative. It is quietly riveting in how the animation transitions and CGI effects are well executed. Plus, the contrasting color settings for the scenes are quite good, which effectively create an intense vibe for the situation.
The anime suddenly took a serious turn that I honestly didn't expect. The world building finally made sense, after so much foreshadowing from the previous episodes. I didn't expect to enjoy this anime as much as I did, but it really is a surprisingly poignant show.
