The anime is well-written in a sense that Asuka’s emotions feel relatable and grounded. The girls’ conversation sounded realistic as well, considering they’re just high school girls trying to navigate the situation. The episode might seem boring to some, but it gives a strong understanding of Asuka’s character.
After the compelling pivot from the last episode, this one felt a bit dull as the story remains highly predictable, combined with sluggish pacing and heavy dialogue. Even the cliffhanger felt completely calculated. At this point, the only redeeming part of this storyline is how it will resolve or reveal the core mystery of this narrative.
It took ten episodes, but they're finally giving more depth and background to Asuka Tsuchimiya, even though she's the main character of this show. This episode's plot twist really blew my socks off, though! The show keeps on getting better and better.
