This episode is mostly setting things up for what's next. It's definitely slower than episode 1, but I wouldn't call it boring. The worldbuilding is still really good and helps keep things interesting while the story starts introducing new stuff. Watch it if you're following the story, just don't expect a ton of action.

Don't get me wrong, it's a really good episode with moments that, I assume, have relevance for the rest of the season; BUT it stresses me out the way that towards the end we just get shocked giving more questions than answers. I do love the fact that the episode shows (slightly) how the gods have been manipulating the humans and how this is something more than just a war between humans and spider. I also love a show where the main character starts wondering if they're doing the right thing, it adds a moral value or weight that I personally enjoy.

The gods reveal their indolence in this world. Touko arrives at Kira's mansion, where a shocking event occurs near the end, while Koushi begins to question whether he is truly supporting the right side.
