EPISODE CONTEXT
This is the third and final episode of the 'Castle of Wax Murder Case' arc, resolving the mystery that began in Episode 7 and escalated through Episode 8's deepening web of suspects and victims. As only the ninth episode of 148, it represents an early proving ground for Kindaichi's detective credentials and establishes the show's case-of-the-arc structure. The resolution here clears the board for the upcoming 'Gentleman Thief Killer' arc, which introduces fresh antagonists and a different flavor of mystery.
