The File of Young Kindaichi Returns Episode 19: Inspector Kenmochi, Murderer, File 1

this france setting and the international vibe hits completely different hahahhaha. taking kindaichi out of japan adds a fresh energy and the mystery setup here feels ambitious and exciting to watch the change of scenery does a lot for the show dude

Unlike the previous two cases, this one is spread across multiple episodes giving the story more room to develop. So far, the mystery has been quite engaging and while the clues pointing to the culprit are fairly obvious, I can't really fault the characters for overlooking them given the circumstances they're dealing with. One thing I found interesting is the way this case follows the previous two. Those stories were essentially flashbacks to Kindaichi and Miyuki's junior high days, while this mystery revolves around someone's past in the present timeline. I don't know if the studio planned it that way, but it's a nice touch that makes them feel somewhat connected or should I say they match 😅.

This turns the event real quick. I think the things in this case really goes south but I stand with what Kengo and Kindaichi believe. The end was such a cliffhanger and makes me think that it is definitely related to this case.
