The brothers seeing Yajiro off at the station was such a poignant moment 🚉 Akadama's refusal to be the observer raises the stakes significantly. The theme of "successors" and what they mean is being explored beautifully. This show's quiet moments are its most powerful.
I got so used to seeing Yajirou as a frog that seeing him back as a human was quite sudden. But as for the observer business, Yasaburou did his classic shenanigans to make it all the more entertaining. I'm so glad there is another clash between Benten and the Nidaime because that has been pretty exciting so far.
This episode is only building up to the beautiful finale of the second season! The tension between Nidaime and Benten is coming up, and I think the upcoming episodes are going to be the BEST! Meanwhile, Master Akadama is so annoying, but I love his character! 😍
