The tanuki shogi tournament was such a delight 🎲 Watching Yajiro, who learned from their father, step into the spotlight was sweet. The community coming together around this game is pure Kyoto magic. Also, the fireflies during the night scenes were breathtaking.
What a mess that tournament was. But the fact that the pieces moved like that was great. In fact, it was good that it was a mess. Seems like Gyokuran had unfinished business with him. That final match was really good between the two, finally felt like they were connecting. But nothing can ever just be perfect because there's already a turn of events..
I already loved and shipped the new character of the series to Yaichirou! Her character is interesting, and I'm looking forward to her character development for the rest of the season. Meanwhile, the Shogi Tournament is absolutely fun to watch, and the laughable scenes are GREAT!
