Episode Context

Sitting roughly a quarter into the full 120-episode run, this episode follows the Christmas-themed 'Frolic! Silent Night' and shifts the seasonal backdrop to New Year's, continuing the show's pattern of anchoring comedy arcs around real-world holidays. As Part 1, it establishes the premise for subsequent episodes that will further escalate Kusuo's failed attempts at a peaceful celebration. It's a natural progression in the series' episodic structure, deepening the ensemble cast dynamics that have been building over the first 30-plus episodes.
