Episode Context

Sitting early in the show's lengthy 120-episode run, episode 17 continues building out Saiki's unwanted social circle by formally integrating Toritsuka into the school setting after his initial appearance in the previous episode. This marks a pattern the series follows throughout, each new character becomes a recurring source of chaos that compounds Saiki's misery. Toritsuka's addition as another psychic-powered nuisance sets up a recurring dynamic that the show will mine for comedy across many future episodes.
